Class Styles

Dynamic Flow

Our Dynamic Flow classes weave movement and breath into a flowing sequence that generates natural heat in the body, supports your strength, stamina, and cardiovascular fitness and expands your ranges of flexibility and mobility. This vinyasa style of practice encourages your capacity for presence and greater self-awareness through creative transitions and challenging postures, leading to increased wellbeing both on and off the mat. A Dynamic Flow class is ideal for someone looking for a faster moving, more fluid practice. All levels of experience are welcome and individual support is offered to new students when possible.

Aligned Flow

Our Aligned Flow classes join functional alignment with creative vinyasa sequences to create an empowering and intelligent movement exploration that promotes greater self-understanding, encourages more nuanced engagement with the body, and increases balance, strength, and resilience. This slow and strong style of practice allows you to explore postures already part of your practice in greater depth and with more nuance using props, demonstrations, and pose breakdowns, as well as creates the strength and discernment necessary to expand your practice to include more complex postures and movements. An Aligned Flow class is ideal for someone looking for a physically demanding form of mindful movement taught at a slower pace. All levels of experience are welcome and individual support is offered to new students when possible.

Gentle Flow

Our Gentle Flow classes combine the fluidity of a vinyasa class with gentle stretches and more restorative postures to create a sequence that releases tension in the body and the mind, promotes greater flexibility and mobility, and supports relaxation. This slow and gentle style of practice invites you to create space within the business of life for feel-good, mindful, creative movement designed to support both your mental and physical wellbeing. A Gentle Flow Class is perfect for someone wanting to move gently and softly and can be a particularly accessible starting place for newer students and for students returning to practice after a time away. All levels of experience are welcome and individual support is offered to new students when possible.

Yin

Our Yin Classes offer supported floor-based postures held for an extended period of time (3-5 minutes) that focus on relaxing muscle tissue in order to stretch and strengthen deep connective tissues (fascia) which promotes greater mobility, supports increased structural and mental balance, and facilitates a greater sense of calm and ease. This slow and meditative style of practice not only supports your physical wellbeing with a focus on joint function and connective tissue health, but also creates a space for curiosity and self-inquiry as sensations arise out of the stillness. A Yin class is the perfect balance to stronger and more dynamic yoga classes, cardio exercise, or time spent being sedentary. All levels of experience are welcome and individual support is offered to new students when possible.

Meditation

Our meditation classes are an opportunity to develop mindful awareness, cultivate stillness, and develop self compassion together with community. No experience is necessary and the event is open to beginners and experienced meditators alike.

Mat Pilates

Our Mat Pilates classes support you in building strength, stability and flexibility through classical Pilates exercises combined with functional movement and yoga inspired sequences. This low impact, alignment style of practice incorporates additional props like stability balls and resistance bands to offers a comprehensive, full body movement practice that emphasises the core in a thoughtful and intelligent way. A Mat Pilates class is a wonderful way to add diversity to your existing movement practice or start of a new weekly routine. All levels of experience are welcome and individual support is offered to new students when possible.

Term Based Specialty Classes

Our term based specialty classes allow you to expand your practice into particular areas of inquiry within the larger context of yoga and movement, exploring the diverse landscape of practices yoga has to offer in greater depth and with more consistency. Each term you will see new classes and new teachers scheduled. Join for a single practice or join for the whole series – these classes are included in all memberships and passes and can be accessed like any other class on the timetable.
